Anyone and everyone is invited to come out and join the Abuse Bites Team as we share our stories of survival, inspirational songs, fun family games, pet therapy, and healing prayer.

The 300+ mile trek will tentatively begin on Friday, July 15th in Lansing, where Lisa Freeman, president and founder, who is a lifelong abuse survivor, will kick off the event with a prayer at the states Capitol building @ 9 a.m. Awesome speakers and other anti-bullying figures will be on site throughout the day until 5 p.m. From there they will walk through many major cities across lower Michigan each weekend. Sponsors

The Abuse Bites team are seeking out groups of people, organizations, and/or churches/schools in each city to host these one day healing events. Healing is offered for victims as well as bullies and bystanders. Everything is absolutely FREE, family friendly and open to the public. A free will offering will be taken at the time of event to help cover expenses. They are also offering an awesome Give and Get Sponsorship as well. More info

The walk will be done in honor of all victims of abuse and bullying, as well as Freeman's son, Brian, who died last year from a rare heart disease. Due to scarring from numerous surgeries and having Asperger's Syndrome he was bullied all through life. Yet he lived life to the fullest, learning in his short life what take most people a lifetime to master, how to love and forgive those that hurt him. He passionately worked with the Abuse Bites program until his dying day to educate others and help victims. RIP BRIAN 6/27/88 to 8/10/10. Read More 

As they travel through various cities: Lansing, Jackson, Kalamazoo, Ann Arbor, Detroit, Flint, Saginaw, Bay City, Midland, Grand Rapids, Muskegon, Ludington, Mt. Pleasant, Cadillac, and Traverse City, the teams goal is to raise awareness about abuse as well as honor all victims/survivors and bring healing to those hurting. Listing of dates for each city
